why would you want to do this in first place ? Whats wrong with a 90 or a 110 ? Why 100 ? Am i missing something ?

Nope, you're not missing anything. Its a mad idea, but that never stops land rover nutters. 100 inchers used to be a cheap way of making a fender look a like when RRC's were cheap as chips, a defenders almost new. You'd use a series body on a rangie chassis to get an affordable coiler.
Nowadays, with iva tests, q plates and ever increasing draconian mots' predicted in the future, its really not worth the effort from a rational point of view. Doesn't mean its not a whole lot of fun to create something of your own though, although I would say, if your asking why a guide hasnt been made, maybe your not up to it....:p:D

I'd like to say that 'when' its finished I will have something like a Dakar machine. But when were being serious I will end up with a high powered road/ off road vehicle. I'm not expecting it to climb quarries but Want something that's going to have zero trouble in sand/mud etc.

In that case buy any defender 90/110 and transplant a V8 with upgraded diffs, solves you a whole lot of hassle

The Dakar was a good way of re-purposing a rotten bodied RRC or Discovery to create an off road play thing.

The thing is now, a rotten old defender is actually cheap enough but need work, the trade off on work to do to get an off road vehicle has been drastically reduced and the Dakar kits are quite expensive now and there seems to be little point to them compared with a ground up rebuild of a Defender.
