We've had no significant rainfall for a week or so, ground should be fine, and that heavy rain is 5 days away, plenty of time to change, which it usually does.

On the 1st site visit, about a week after the month long downpour when half of Somerset was still under water and a bright yellow thing in the sky was stirring some long lost memories, the ground was firm with just a few hollows with a little surface water. it's one of the reasons the site was chosen.

Add to that we have a massive amount of cover under several marquees, one of which has a wooden floor.

It's going to take a lot more than a little rain to dampen this party
