10 spline or 24 spline lockers??

I've got the choice between a couple of sets of axles that I want to stick an ARB locker into for my tomcat....

-Old rangy 10spline one, and
-300tdi disco 24 spline one

there's a bit've price difference between the lockers, 10 spline being about £200 more than the 24... any reason for this??

If there's no real difference in reliability/wear etc. i'll go for the cheaper 24spline one! :)

And does anybody have LSD diffs on they're front axles?? just toying with the idea...

Any Advice??

Go with the cheaper ones!

I have 85% LSD True trac in the front, it has been great, you would hardly know it is there on the road, steering maybe centralizes a bit quicker. Lots of extra traction off road, but no effect on the steering :)
 
Thanks for the info, I'll go with the 24's then!

Turboman, I'm considering the Ashcroft lsd's as they are a bit cheaper, but I'm sure they'll bee sufficient for green laning and the odd pay n play site!

Never heard anything bad about the Ashcroft one, I think it is pretty similar to True trac.
