04 air suspension inactive

Hi, I keep getting air susp inactive flash up on dash, and suspension controls don't work, I have had it plugged in and reset, fault code was 118 resouviour pressure drops when filling

It will work fine for about 2 days and all settings work then will randomly flash back up again and just sit at normal ride heigh!

sounds exactly like the common problem of the air compressor failing.

usually around £230 and 10 mins to fit.

do the lights on the suspension controls turn off when it stops working ?

Yes the lights turn off

If all the lights are off this indicates a Major Fault as per the Workshop Manual...I attach the 3 pages of the WSM about the different fault modes...

Sounds like your compressor is duff....but search for a thread by a member called RSCUSTOM2000 or CUSTOMRS2000 or 2000CUSTOMRS or 2000RSCUSTOM (its along those lines) about Pressure Static when Filling fault...his was a stuck valve but is worth a read too incase it also fits your symptoms....
