Nope, competely different, sorry.Enlighten me my goodmam?
I wouldn't bother reading your posts if you didn't have the picture of VBH at the end.- only joking. So, after about 2,000 miles (Glasgee and back, etc) the Bong! of Gloom again.
This time it was again heater valley connection adapter that was leeching.
Me and mechanic could see that it was a very slight leech that showed as a red line dribbling down the drivers' side of the block past the block's copper expansion bung.
This is the second time that connector has failed. But it fails in an overheat situation -- just under the Jubilee Clip. Having changed one before I'd had the engine out and re-built, when it'd overheated again -- but as one of its periodic 350 mile coolant dumps -- it'd obviously fractured then, but then not shown any or very little leeching.
Have now re-connected the LPG and that's working now OK too
Right underneath the Jubilee clip <grrrr!>
RJHC000081 at a very reasonable £10.46 inc.
("they do go y'know!" Beadles spare parts person)
Glad you sorted it,and thanks for my VBH fixProgress! After removing said RF Amplifier (433MHz) XUo 000020 cleaned its socket pins with Servisol, shorted them with screw driver blade and left overnight.
Sprayed plugs' pins with Servisol this morning and re-fitted RF Amplifier. Et voila!
After a hesitation, followed the "press the unlock button while simultaneously pressing the lock button three times" procedure Fob LED lit three times in quick sucession, and locks went locked <clunk> and unlocked <clunk>. Saved this key's sync by quickly switching off and switching on again. All appears to be OK. So far... Haven't chanced fate by putting the panels back yet.
Have prepared a help file if anyone wants. PM or email me. Can't file attach here as it's in Word format. The re-sync procedure is in Rave though.
So how come two well known active workshops in north Surrey couldn't do what I did?
Main agent (Beadles, Sidcup) are not too expenisive for only a re-sync: £108 inc.
For a diagnostic they want £216. But for a new key £400 inc. <swoon>
