45 around M25 -- this transporter's base is Staines so serves that workshop on regular basis
Ah well, if it feels dangerous it seems sensible to transport it.....£2 per mile.

Just to remind me, this price is to do both n/s/r and o/s/r upper and lower rose joints?

I would certainly do them before getting into the sub-frame bushes, they may be fine unless you've been advised differently.

It would also be good to know the cause of the lurching rather than going full parts shotgun at once where you'd be left wondering what bit actually fixed it.

Maybe there is a sub-frame bush or 4 gone although I doubt it, maybe 1 or 2, maybe none....some play IS normal.

Regardless, these are common wear issues at the age of these heavy brutes, you've done the front now it's rear, doubtless some items will have been replaced early or unduly but that's life as they say.

Once this is done you'll have the some inner bushes to do down the line, but that may be next year, or maybe the next etc.

I've decided to take it back to mine (12 miles away in slow-stop traffic) on the Wednesday night and dependent on how I experience any lurch decide then whether to drive it to Chertsey. Mostly its just a minor tramline effect which is why originally I mistook it for tramlining like as if in a standard car track rod ends were worn / tracking out. But when the top and bottom control arms were done then it became far more pronounced although seemed rarer. To and from Hemel Hempstead (M1, M25, A102, Blackwall Tunnel) happened twice but the second time at speed which was quite cardiac-inducing

2½ hours-ish per side

This mech seemed to know what I was talking about as I was telling him. He's still going to do a diagnose of course -- the four subframe bushes seem a right royal pain from the diagram above. But my roadside mech did go around with a pry bar and couldn't find anything more wrong at front. So took it to friend MOT tester's hoist to get it off load and then came up with this diagnosis -- I'm told its not an uncommon fault at 117k. By this mileage most L322 owners have gone through all I've gone through and given up part way. But when it's good it's very, very, good

Er... what inner bushes? Will this ever end?

I'm persevering coz it's LPG, fully loaded with the special speakers and 'phone, bags OK, air pump rebuilt, interior clean full tan leather -- found Veuve Clicquot cork down the back of the rears so has enjoyed itself in a past life :p

Spoke with another workshop in Chertsey who knew exactly what I'm on about. Which is strange coz I don't
Like you insisted on using only OEM bushes, but better quoted me 2½ hours-ish per side.

Is that Green lane 4x4 in Chertsey - shepperton if so he is good, he was recommended when my clutch pins went and he was good.

I'll give mine an accolade in here when I know that they've done a good job for me at a fair price

...But you can't do that. I've already been on remand with house arrest for a year, my court case comes up in a few weeks... Yeawowwww! Don't do that, it stings! You'll get more than a little whipping if you don't do what I say. Now listen and take a reality check. I've got the top job now, what I say goes. Cliff Richard raid, top politicians' child rape allegations, Birmingham Six, Guildford Four, Hillsborough, Mull of Kintyre, Jean Charles de Menezes (that was mine, heh, heh!) all depended on what people in power over you decided. Now I've got that power. If you don't have my favourite mix of gin and tonic ready for me when I get home. And keep this place spotless you'll be next in the dock. Then you'll be an old decrepit man before you're released from that jail cell. Now go and fix dinner... <crack>
Yeawowwww! Yes, Cressida. And don't you yes Cressida me. From now on you call me Ma'am. Yes, Ma'am <sob>
God, I hate these Range Rover L322 models with a passion! Just you wait 'till I see that Vikki Butler-Henderson...

I've always preferred Ginny Buckley...

But she has the same name as my sister....so it always put a dampener on the fantasy!

This lot are in a mushroom farm. Busy little workshop. They found only one of these rose joints faulty saying it was "totally shot". So he changed that. I was told by previous young fellamelad that one of the front control arms was loose too accounting for NSF occasional clunk. So they changed both of those also. Now there's no wander or sudden cardiac-inducing lurch.
Travel to Chertsey (actually workshop's located in an area called Longcross) via A2/M25 and country roads was uneventful on LPG apart from the tramlining. Coming back there was no tramlining or lurch. But unfortunately...

Got to just outside Bromley on the Biggin Hill road and Boinggg! of gloom... :( And steam from bonnet. Opened up and found the smaller diameter top hose had split itself apart at the rad junction. Not trusting this infernal machine still carried 10L of water -- just in case. And also had my tin snips in the boot.
Here's the hose location. Anyone with a parts list recognise it? Think this really should be armoured:

And here's what'd split:

... I told you before not to mess with that heap of old rubbish. Why do you think we've dropped using them? Coz they're rubbish that's why. Discovery's are different. Yes, I understand now. Yewowwow! Yes what? Yes ma'am <wimper>

It's a different diameter at each end so no chance of finding an armoured equivalent. Feels soft when squeezed.

In any quote make sure you get parts' prices too

A tenner by mini-cab from Virginia Water BR station

...So how come you're listed nowadays as a Dame? Ha ha ha! That's just for the little people who see that title and think I somehow "special." I know the right people, go to the right parties, and generally ingratiate myself with others with titles. Theresa and I are firm friends. Now, about time that toilet was cleaned isn't it? Yewowww! I've just used it

Well bugger me sideways with a wet kipper covered in horseradish sauce...!!!

I live only a couple of miles from there and my old Archery Club has its grounds at Fan Court.....and my dad lives a mile and a half up the road in Thorpe.....I never knew they existed....good find!!

With your skills you wouldn't need to know.
