Hi guys,
The time has come to sell my Moomin. It's very much a forced sale as I have some financial issues
to get round and this is the only way. I wish it wasn't, but that's just life sometimes.
Anywho, enough of the sob story, on with the car. As the title says, 2.0 TD4 2003 3dr Kalahari, she is
really a superb vehicle. Until I decided to sell she was my everyday motor. Fuel economy is great on the
last measure I was getting roughly 30mpg (this was an average consumption over 3 full tanks with a mixture of all types of driving).
Mileage is at 225000 as you can see in the clock picture. I know that sounds high, but the car drives excellently
and recently I've put a few new parts on to keep her doing so.
New MAF sensor
EGR bypass
Brake pedal switch (to get rid of the three amigos, seems to have worked)
Rear window regulator
Exhaust rear box
4 matching, brand new tyres 10% larger sidewall than standard to give some extra cush. Tread is
still like new.
It's the Kalahari model so standard equipment includes a 6 disc cd changer under the drivers seat, 1/2 leather 1/2 suede black and grey interior, air con, electric windows, electric and retractable mirrors, double sunroof, ABS and airbags all over the place plus all the rest of the stuff you probably already know about.
Car Is MOT'd till 16th May. It's passed the last couple of MOT's with few to no advisories so I've every confidence she'll fly through again.
Car comes with a replacement rear diff off an 85k mile motor, it doesn't need changing, but I thought it did at one point so I bought one and it turned out to be a sticky handbrake cable. ho hum. She also comes with a set of replacement front brake pads, again, I intended replacing them, but the ones that are on have loads left.
As you would expect, four wheel drive system works fine and lives up to it's excellent reputation.
Problems, every car has them and I'll be honest about these.
Passenger side mirror was hit by a bus so it won't retract or stay opened on its own now. I am working
to fix it, but as it sits it's not fully functional.
Aerial was snapped off by a friends mattress when I moved it on the roof so radio gets a bit crackly from time to time.
The 'Land Rover' badge in the middle of the steering wheel has the paint chipping off it. It had a dent since I bought it so when I decided to sell I wanted to fix it and ended up making things worse. I'll try to source another on the 'bay.
Laquer on a couple of the alloys has gone bad and some chipping has happened. I've tried to capture the worst wheel in the pics.
Interior is Excellent, by the drivers seat has a rip on the outside of the bolster where the seatbelt socket is. It's been there as long as I've had it, it isn't noticeable and hasn't got any worse.
That's about it really.
Anyway, car is located in [map] Oldham [/map] you are welcome to view and have a quick drive if you have insurance. A days insurance is really cheap for one of these. To arrange a time or for a chat about the car my mobile is 07826 6 4 6 7 6 7 (had to write it like that so bots don't pick it up)
I'm asking £1100 ono, I will take offers, but nothing silly. I'm not in a rush to sell.
If I think of anything else to put on I'll edit this advert. Please contact me via phone to chat rather than message on here as I'm not always near internet and wouldn't want to seem ignorant.
Thanks for reading folks! Pics below.
