If someone gave you £500 tomorrow to spend on your defender what would you go for to improve it, be it cosmetically or operationally so to speak.

The next things i would go for, for that kind of money would be a engine mapping, new intercooler type of upgrade.:D

What about you guys?

Good choice, but then again, im only saying that cause ive recently bought the eberspacher D2 heater and have spent all day fitting it, im 70% through fitting it, just have to put the fuel tank back on after fitting the fuel stand pipe. broke 2 of the little plastic fuel pipe joints, so once i order them and fit them, hopefully i will have a nice warm winter. :)

Does fitting it yourself cause any problems with the insurance company, is there a requirement to get it certified like LPG conversions or can you just fit it
 
I only asked because if I fitted it there'd be plenty of heat as it burst into flames and I can just imagine the conversation with the insurance company

so, you're claiming for fire when you set fire to it :D
 
I'd pay to have 2 comfy seats in the front, a cubby instead of the middle seat. High back seats for the middle seats and take out the bench seats in the back and replace with 4 ind. seats

Then next year's insurance wouldn't be quite such an ordeal :D

I fear that the costs of the seats and the fitting might be a tad over £500 so would have to start at the front and keep going til the money ran out

ps- if I have a spare £25 left over can I spend it on perfume :confused:

Good choice reference replacing the middle row bench for highbacks, I did that to mine as it is much safer for the kids. Cost a bit more than £500 though.
