I have just overhauled a diesel injector pump for my 1999 2.5 BMW diesel Range Rover and need a Timing solenoid ( which is located at the bottom of the rear f the pump) as the wires on the one i have are broken flush with the housing and cannot join new ones .I have looked online and cannot find anyone selling them so i wondered if anyone has one in their spares box that is willing to sell me.

the stop solenoid is on the top of the pump at the rear this solinid is at the base of the rear . the stop solinid has no wire coming out of it.

That is the stop solenoid. All timing functions go in through the main harness.View attachment 346331
that is the solenoid i want but i still think it is the timing solenoid as the stop solinod is on the top of the pump because this solenoid controls the slide that is attached to the ring that moves the pump cams to advance and retard the mechanism

Sorry about that, I learn something everyday. I have always understood that the gubbins at the bottom was the stop solenoid, from memory the engine does not run with it disconnected but I could be wrong.
