Hi all,

I am repairing some of my electrics but can’t figure out what this orange connector is for. Can anyone help? It has a red/yellow wire and black ground. It is located at the rear on the right side. I have a LHD Defender TD5 90 from 2000.

Doesn’t seem to have a feed to it when car is started.

Thanks

Yellow and red is for the fog light. There will be one on each side (same as the brown and green for reverse) but only one side will be used for each if you are still original. The loom is the same for RHD and LHD, so depending on which side of the road you are depends on which way around the lights are fitted.
I have a fog light on both sides on my 110 so both are used, and the reverse is empty, as I have reverse hooked up to the work lights on the roof.

That makes perfect sense now, thank you!
