Yes at least 30 presses with the ignition off
There's no screw, the accumulator just unscrews

If the light is always on you probably just need to reset the pedal switch.. press and hold the pedal down as far as you can, after the 30 presses helps.. then manually pull the switch all the way out, it's on a ratchet

Good evening everyone,
I currently have a lot of work on the vehicle.
The ABS accumulator has been delivered.
I want to swap it tomorrow.
Just to be on the safe side:
- The car is stationary and the engine is not running
- Hit the brakes 30 times
- remove the old one - one screw
- install the new one

That's all, right?
Thank you!!!

Oil filter wrench, the band or strap type, can help remove and refit.

Good evening everyone,

I have just replaced the accumulator. It was no problem with a 22 mm spanner.
I have now driven a little. The pump now jumps after 3-5 braking operations - I think that's good. Before it was after every operation.
Nevertheless, TC and ABS do not go off? Does it need to be reset with the software?

TC & ABS may be due to the brake switch not set correctly. No software reset needed for changing the accumulator.

so the accumulator was not the reason.
Was it a mistake to replace it now?
I don't think so, as the pump always started, or am I looking at it wrong?

Not sure about the diesel but I'm sure the brake light switch doesn't cause the tc/abs lights on the petrol as i did a test drive before realising it needed to be reset. I would have noticed if the dash was lit up

So reset via software?

So reset via software?
I only have the software for the EAS. Is there an equally simple solution for the ABS reset?

moment please, I have replaced the accumulator. Everything is great, but when I start the car, ABS and TC errors come up immediately. I thought that by replacing the accumulator I would also get rid of the errors.
Does the ABS/TC error now have to be reset via software?

TC & ABS lights also come on when you have a dodgy alternator/Battery.
As others have said get the codes read with a Nanocom or similar.

As Kermit says, they are separate issues. You have confirmed the replacement accumulator has fixed the pump running every brake press.

Brake lights on the back of the car are most likely the pedal switch - reset the adjustment, or replace it.

If you plan to keep the P38, then you will need a Nanocom.

Yes, I'll have to think seriously about buying it.
One last question, so it is impossible that the brake light switch is causing the ABS/TC error, right?

Thanks!!
