Freelander 1 Woshing sound above 2k

Hi all,

So, I just started getting a whooshing sound when I get above 2k rpm. From.what I've read elsewhere here, it's probably a split hose from the turbo.

I'd really appreciate any advice on what to look for to confirm, and how to replace that hose. (And if there's anything else I should check)

with the td4 .. check underneath the top intercooler hose, where it's close to an air-duct securing bolt .
the hose often has a tendency to rub on the bolt .

I think I found the problem. ANy advice on replacing it? And could anyone confirm that that is probably the culprit?

2 jubilee clips to unscrew and swap with new elbow. You've found the problem!!

Thanks so much. While I wait for the part, can I use some Billy Mays leak stopping tape to plug it, or will that pull something into the turbo and kill my engine?

Self amalgamating tape should be fine

Grey or black gaffer tape will do it temporarily
