JLR revives Freelander name for new range of electric cars | Autocar
JLR and joint venture partner Chery will build new "mainstream" EVs in China, with plans for global sale
Abominations sounds a tad disrespectful.Actually I think the most annoying thing is that if this goes ahead, there'll be loads of forum posts on these in the Freelander section which doesn't link when it's a completely different vehicle. Same as on the defender forums you get questions about classics and and new all mixed in.
Should we have a new forum here called "JLR Abominations newer then 2015" for this sort of thing?
That new shape lego defenderer is 99% just a posey Chelsea tractor round my way. All washed and polished in the supermarket car parks.View attachment 319621
Like use the word lower case defender for the latest Lego version. Now about to abuse the name Freelander. What next renaming a freshly dropped turd as a EV Evoque![]()
Or worse still, AI ‘driven’…I guess the designs in the near future, if not already, will be AI generated.
Yeah I can't work out why, but it looks too compact for what it should be. Seems like the design for cubby space is moved outside, whilst the inside compact like a Apollo capsule. Hate to be in a crash in one, but relieved when fire service use the tin opener. That new shape lego defenderer is 99% just a posey Chelsea tractor round my way. I’ve yet to see a dirty one, one that’s actually been used off road like their real elder was/is (closest they get is parked on the kerb by the school)
I've seen seen a few farmers use them, and saw one greenlaning in Shropshire the other week. Look good with a bit of dust on em.That new shape lego defenderer is 99% just a posey Chelsea tractor round my way. All washed and polished in the supermarket car parks.

No we should wait for a picture after it's been crash tested, it might improve it.I don't think the rendered image in the article is the official finished product...
