Probably bought it because it had a new set of tyres on it.
Guessing the front won't be great either, specially the outriggers.
And then there is the bulkhead to consider, it may not be that good either.

Dunno. I know one of those sold not long back for £750, similar to that.

With the cost of a galv chassis and bulkhead, that still isn't a lot of money for a Tdi Defender if you do the work yourself.
