The P38 is more comfortable but there was no sign of rust on my Pajero or the Hyundai Galloper that followed it, it was a good deal less powerful than the P38, 0 to 60 was measured in hours not seconds but economical and totally reliable as was the Galloper until the engine wore out.
Maybe it's just me, but I can't bring myself to own any motor whose name I can't pronounce or appears silly ... like Galloper.
