Looking at new tyres for the p38 and getting different sizes from each website. I’ve got 265/65/r18 fitted but websites come back with different sizes. What size should they be.
Why do people struggle with this?
If you have one size and they fit, then surely they will do??
And do you honestly believe there is only ONE size that they should be? What sizes are you getting back?
I mean, you hardly need to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out, if websites are telling you 16" tyres, then they ain't gonna fit your 18" rims......
BTW - are you sure that is the size you have? That is a pretty large tyre on a stock p38. The image in your avatar doesn't look like it has that size tyres on it.
I’m only asking struggling to find that size. I understand it is people’s preference I was just after what is the more common size that people are using. As I put my ref in sites comes back with 255/55/18 or 260/55/18 so want to know people preference with the tyres and what rides best.
then you said this:

Too big is relative. There are people running 33's on P38's, but usually modded and for off road use.
However, regardless of wheel style, rim diameter or exact tyre supplied. Factory tyre diameters were all approx the same. I'm running bigger than stock at 255/70R16. But then mine is used off road and is modified. But on a standard offset rim you'd probably have issues with rubbing. More so if it was a bigger tyre.
All I meant was different on each website some say 255/55/18 some say 255/60/18 and so on just wanted to know what the correct size would be no need to be arsey about it.
