We at
PLCUK have decided to run a annual navigation event around salisbury plain and surrounding areas. We are looking at running this in APRIL 2008 date to be decided as yet
The idea is you can pair up in teams of two and then you will be given a number of grid references with questions on. You will then have to venture out on to the byways to find the clue i.e Question: i stand on three pillars of concrete Answer: a water tower....... the idea is to get as many as you can in a set time limit and there will be varying points to be had i.e more points awarded for the further away grid references and lower points for the closest ones, it will be up to you how and in which order you do the grids in.
And then at the end of the day we can all go to the pub and sort the scores out and have a few drinkies and award some prizes.
There will be a cost of £10 to enter and this is to cover the prizes and the stickers for entering, everyone will receive a medal for a little memento to remind them of the day and each truck will have a sticker.
For first, second & third there will be a prize which is to be decide to what these will be.
If this event works we then will run it yearly but also be doing it for charity etc etc

WHY : TO HAVE FUN AND GET OUT AND MUDDY AND GET PLCUK ON THE MAP
If you are interested in this then please say so and i will put your name down, we are limiting this to 30 trucks closer to the date i.e February will be asking for your £10 pound upfront to purchase the prizes and stickers etc etc there will be no profit made on this ....just enough for my new 8274 winch
I will inform you what maps you will need for the nav ex once i have planned the routes
So all in all this will be a good day out for the club and the chance for a little light hearted competition so guys what you waiting for get your names down
