We have not long had our Freelander, and i'm just getting more and more info of the Sites like this..
But why didn't i check them out before rushing in to buy a freelander?
I noticed on a web forum/site that it's getting very common for the prop shafts to be removed from a freelander.
Ours is a V plate 2.0 L diesel goes well, HDC lights didn't work as the wires work broken from the gearstick, fixed now
rest was all ok so i thought.
when doing odd jobs on the car i Dropped a roll of tape in the engine bay, and tried to get it out, when i realised that the front Propshaft was missing

how shocked was !?
i contacted the bloke i bought it from, he said it must have been like that when he bought it.
anyway i was really mad with myself for not doing a full check of the car at the time, i thought i was getting a really good deal.
Well no Point crying over Spilt Milk, i just hope someone else reads this and has a look under a car they are going to buy and checks all is there thats supposed to be.
OK now i'm Looking for a front Prop, but i reckon it was removed because something else is wrong, further down the transmission
how can i be sure the viscous Coupling is working with out a front shaft?
thanks for some hints and tips i get from this web site
cheers....................Ken
