You can't change driver pack with valve block still in place.

Yeah I just figured that out.
😖. Going to see if I can swap the driver pack out tomorrow. And then sometime in the new year rebuild the spare valve block with new 'o' rings etc.
oh and solder the pesky white connector wires up too. See if that helps any

No need to depressurise.

1. Remove Cruise actuator (enables access to EAS housing chassis bolts)
2. Remove the 4 bolts holding Valve block housing to bulkhead.
3. Unplug the MAF sensor cable (so you don't damage it)
4. Tilt EAS Housing about 45deg. . . .and you should see holes in the side where you can access the driver pack screws.
5. Remove driver pack screws (and find the one you dropped)
6. Unplug driver pack & remove.
7. Fit replacement driver, and reconnect everything else.
8. Test it.

Thanks Pete, when I looked at the spare driver pack it's hard connected to the pressure switch ( green ) under the block ? So need access to the bottom of it too ??

Ha Ha Tony. . . . . but in the morning I felt like I was falling out of one.

but was simply answering the question, i.e. it can be done . . . . . even though I agree it's easier to take the valve block out first.

So managed to get all the wires soldered today, so no white connectors in passenger footwell anymore to get wet. Wondering if that is my main issue ? Anyhow, will try swap the driver when I get chance too and see what happens.

Don't swap until you are sure you need to or you may just confuse the issue.

Yeah, that's what I was pondering, I'm working away for 7 weeks, so plan a rebuild of a spare valve block on my return and then maybe a transplant sometime....
