Ignore list query

Why if I have someone on my ignore list can I still see threads they start I thought it would stop me from seeing all unwanted bull****

No, it's ####ing pointless. Instead I'm seeing posts lifted straight from Facebook that I have no interest in and have nothing to do with land rovers or with the forum. Getting increasingly ****ed off and fed up with it

If people continue to post on crap threads, about crap and crap threads, then unless those who post are also black-listed you'll see their responses. You'll also see the black-listed post on Live with the thread blanked out.

There isn't an easy way to block threads so you don't see responses as well as the original black-listed posts either .. at least, I can't find one!

They do it for nothing, they aren't omni-present and I wouldn't do what they do for a gold pig.

The issue is how forums work, not what mods can or can't do.

Roy's still planning a move to a different format as vbulletin is very restricted on how much it can be customised.

It's a massive undertaking and if you think folk are whinging now just wait until the change

TBH I don't know what the answer is when the fastest growing, most watched thread is one everyone is complaining they don't want to see

It even has a much higher post/view ratio meaning not only are loads of people looking at it they are more likely to post on it keeping at the top of the page and 3 or 4 times on the live page.

Yeah, I had some issues using vbulletin some years ago on (obviously) a different forum where I was a mod ..

Way I see it is some people wouldn't be happy without moaning, and some people just don't have a clue. I don't see why they can't whinge about stuff, then move on and try to ignore it all ...
