I dislike spacers and would prefer offset wheel rims of whatever make. That puts any stresses where they were meant to be.

That said, if I was going back to Africa I would run on steels. only because if I did smack an alloy its all over. With a steel I know I can go to the nearest shack / garage, and a guy with a hammer and a blowtorch will have it as good as new in two beers.

Not really.. I have had a quick look but thought it would just be 'a bit of fun' as its a bit of a theme with my build... Just wanted other peoples opinions and so far had some good ones...

So.... Mr/Ms wickford90 whats yours? :D Steel or Alloy.... or are you afraid, you don't want the world to know you are a closet alloy fan??? :jaw:

would have polled it on my build thread but couldn't seem to find the options for a second poll....

17" Preditor alloys with ATs and Land rover 16' alloys with MTs, Happy now you,ve outed me.
 
I have 20" Stormer alloys on my Td5 Discovery as its a tarmac queen, I have Defender steels on my V8 Discovery as they came with good 750-16 tyres.

Changing from alloys on the V8 to steels made a massive impact on looks but I like the look of it and was never really sold on the ES alloys it looks like it serves a perpous now ;)
