Not really, they're sat proud of the grill so the vast majority of the air will flow around them. They'll make a difference for sure but to work out how much might not be rocket science but some fairly complex aerodynamics

Air is fairly good at flowing round things
Funnily enough the distruption to the flow probably has more to do with the profile of the back of the spots rather than the front.....which admittedly is also fairly flat so you may be right

Very very nice I really like that alot.
I like the steps and they were top of my list of extras. A number of elderly relatives had difficulty with my RR Classics due to lack of steps and trying to stand on bits of trim that weren't designed for standing on! When I bought first disco, it had chromed steps and they proved very useful - as do those on new to me P38.
Bull bar isn't something I'd have added, but I have come to like it and will now probably leave it. Not sure about the extensions over headlamps however - does look a bit 'plastic'...
I don't dislike the separate lamp guards, but wouldn't fit as unlike the ones I had on the Classic, they require holes in bodywork (what joker devised that method then?
(...and yes, I know I need to sort the panels under the headlamps!

That's what almost everyone has said! They were the main reason I considered removing bull-bar - they sort of compliment each other and I wouldn't keep it without the spots. However my previous vehicle was a 3.9 Disco on LPG which was very sensitive to temperature and as a result, I've developed bi-directional vision like a lizard - where one eye's always focused on minor movements of 'temp'...
The extra 200W of light from the Wipacs is a major benefit however and transforms night driving in the country. Cooling has been fine thus far - motorway, stop start traffic and towing so they can stay for now... All the places the Disco would break into a sweat, the P38 takes in it's stride.
Would I have fitted bull-bar if it had not come fitted on the car? Almost certainly not (but like o/p, I would have added the side steps). I like Saint's and the o/p's - same colour as car and quite in-keeping, although personally wouldn't have done the light guards - too 'plastic' and 'afterthought' IMHO. (Sorry!

Doozel Autos cant have fogs....and if you fit them you have to move the Oil Cooler...

I thought Bull bars were outlawed years ago as dangerouse to pedestrians.
Designed and Fitted prior to the regulations - Fine
After the regulations, all FPS have to be designed in accordance with the Stated Regulations that I posted....
You cannot design and manufacture then sell NEW FPS that do not conform to the regulations, but you can still buy second hand and fit aslong as it was deisgned for the vehicle it is mounted on!

Not quite.....
Fogs mount on the front spolier lower down...
Spots should be mounted at high level....
Driving Lamps are mounted mid line to enhance visabilty....
Personally I think the airflow is more affected by the bull-bar than the spots - it effectively obscures both sides of the rad and a slightly bigger cumulative area. Also, perhaps 75% of the air disrupted by the spots will furl around them into the rad with 25%(?) deflecting over the bonnet (they're vertical). 50% of that hitting the bull-bar will flow outside (with much of the remainder deflected up because of the rake of the design). The viscous fan will however, also create low pressure air immediately behind the spots which will draw air in. Perhaps at marginally lower velocity and more turbulent than usual, but temperature of the air will be the much the same and I can't see volume being that much different. I only envisage issues if there's another problem with cooling system and then the setup might exacerbate any overheat.

Right ive come to fitting the bull bar
Im i missing a bracket or somthing cos i fixed thebolts to the bumper and it still seems very loose like it should be fixed higher up as well
Anyone go any pic of said bracket if it exists

Mine's not the same bull-bar, but hooks over and fixes to top of the grill where the bonnet closes. I can photo & upload tonight if it helps?

Looks like im a few brackets short
Doubt ill be able to buy them seperatly so probably have to fab some up
Need to see a pic of them
Not sure if these will help as I've no idea who made the unit. I've gone back through the receipts I have from previous owner (they go to around 2008) but no nudge bar... Going by all the evidence of previous 'nudges' he was either a cattle herder or less than careful!
