HELP viscus fan fell off

Surprisingly, they would. Old habits die hard. Electric would always have been better, full power cooling at low revs, less water/mud splatter in the engine bay when off road, quicker warm up, quieter and very slight improvement in economy not to mention better acess to the front of the engine etc

I have a 200tdi. I took mine off over the summer here in France and drove down to the south of France without a fan. The engine only went towards the red when I was going up a long hill in 35 degrees. I fitted a Kenlow electric fan as the engine never warmed up in the winter even though I fitted thermostat etc. You can get cheaper electric fans for a quarter of the price of a Kenlow. I have now run mine here in France and I have only heard the fan come on once in two years.

It only takes the one time

We had a couple of strangely hot days this year it was 37-38c driving in the city stop start traffic (although not a hill in site) I wouldn't of taken any car without a fan that day

I think the diff here is that the peeps that don't have a fan know it doesn't cause a problem, or if so, very rarely.
The peeps that have a fan, don't want to take the risk.

I've got to admit, it is rare.
Must've ran mine for 6+ months without it before I needed it on Happy Valley in the height of summer.

I say the word 'summer' in the loosest term possible...
