gear box whistling

hi guy i need help, when the revs climb up the gear box begins to whistle. this happens on all gears as soon as revs begin to get higher, any advicve on what this problem may be and how to fix?

you sure its gearbox not transfer box ................ and what millage has the vehicle done i take it hasnt been changed before

you right it is transfer box , the millage is 224334 km

2 choices then wait till gives up totally , or replace with recon unit

thanks for advice , i think i should replace before it give up, dont really feel like being stranded in the bush

how do you know its t/box ,id check both oils by dropping some out or changing it, look for silver sheen in oil,t/box can be checked by removing sump and looking for free play and movement from worn bearings ,freeplay in intermediate gear can be taken up with 30mm socket on rear stake nut

You say that it happens in all gears at high revs, maybe a silly suggestion but are you sure its not your turbo spinning up?
