Traction Failure??????????????

Traction Failure,has anyone had this come up in there message centre before, all it says in the hand book is seek qualified assistance lol.
If you turn off the ignition and then back on again it disappears traction control worked in the snow and ice abs works fine and normal braking works fine, could the front disks being near to there limits possibly produce this fault message.
:doh:Any idea's Im a bit stumped at the moment(I did do a serch but couldnt find anything relevent)

Sounds like you need to get the fault codes read.

Check the ABS sensors, make sure they are pushed in until the touch reluctor ring.

hows your battery? low volts often throws up that message.

I had this one once and it was caused by a loose battery terminal connection. The battery clamp was broken allowing the battery to slide about in the tray pulling on the cables.

i get this quite often but only when i am off road in the fields ,normally when i am driving up or down a grass or muddy hill using engine braking and want to stop and apply the brakes i get traction failure, not always but more often than not
i was concerned at first but its done it ever since i had the p38 9 yrs ,and it has never done it on the tarmac ,so i think its a field issue allthough i dont think you said what you were doing when it happened to you

I to think it could be your battery..I had this a lot and after about 6-7 months needed a new battery,,,,12 months on and still no traction failure message..
