Hello mousemat, did you get any joy with Storey-Wilson, I paid for EAS V4 installed it on a Toughbook windows7 all drivers say they are installed but will not recognise the dongle and will not update just keep saying the whyupdate does not work. I have emailed him but nothing and from past experience he is ****e at replying. Did you manage to get yours working?
wonder what your thoughts are? I've never even looked over, let alone driven an X5. I am sure it's lovely (owned BMW's when I was younger and bloody loved em).

Cheers
PS - Sorry for all the messages, wouldn't let me post more than 420 characters

Things to check
Timing chain at 100k+ miles, big job £3k
Transfer box not juddering on slow full lock turns
X5= big quick truck that tows great but it's big
Fl2 = does better off road and softer on rough roads, doesn't tow as much weight
I should be able to update when I get the fl2 at weekend

On the X5 get a code reader and scan it before purchasing!
Might help with underlying faults...when eml light comes on its normally too late
Seems to have been cherished by a knowledgable owner, swirl flap delete. new brakes front and back, new HP Dueller tyres x4. Says it's been loved. £4000.

Seems cheap but I know people are struggling to sell so that may not be a red flag. Lot of car for that money if not.
I've just been offered a 2009 X5 M Sport (35D) in black. 145k miles but lot of work done. Complete new suspension, airbags, pipework, compressor. All injectors he said replaced but need to check that as I am told the only proper ones are £1000 each due to only Bosch being able to replace the important bit (Piezo crystal).
Hiya, really interesting post thank you. I don't want to post this publicly because I suspect people will get funny about Beemer talk on here :D. Curious - you're not in Cornwall are you?

Hi, we own and are restoring XVC935X, the green Monteverdi, I was wondering if you could provide me with any information from the time your family owned it. Did you know it was originally owned and used by Land Rover as a development vehicle and was used as a styling exercise, hence the Monteverdi decals on the front wings? Kind regards, Ant

In have a freelander currently on a Caribbean island with a bad rear diff . can i delete the rwd --looking to convert my freelander to 2wd front wheel drive,, do you know what had to be done ?
Update. Oil sludge blocking strainer in the sump meant zero oil being pumped into the engine, causing the engine to stop & as a result the turbo is in bad shape with way too much play in it to be safe. Engine now turning but new turbo will cost around £900 inc vat. I don't want to risk a second hand one as don't know what to look out for & there are a few it could be (can't make out the numbers on existing one).
