Are you sure its not your torque converter. If the gears are all there and your speedo is working and it is changing up and down at the correct RPM but jerking I would think that the torque converter needs replacement as it is not putting through enough pressure.. bit like if you had too little...

Has any one had experience with this type of transmission fluid (Nichitoyo) which comes from Japan. I've used it in my freelander and it seems ok. Costs about £20 for 5 lts..... Or is it better to use transmission fluid which costs 3x the price from the stealer.

Just to let everyone know I was about to take the vehicle to an auto specialist (not that there are too many in Mauritius and here they strip and fix as spare parts are hard to get hold of and forget about new) and the gremlin seems to have gone and for the first time since I bought the vehicle...

Has anyone had problems like me with their jacto transmission. I start and drive my freelander TD4 2001 in the morning and all the gears seem rough as the vehicle heats up. The auto transmission seems to stay rough and you can feel every gear change up and down until I switch off the engine...
