Haven't payed much attention to the CV's, will have to have a look, thanks freelaner :) Someone else had there money on it being front diff bearings, has anyone else had them go before?

Changed both gearbox and IRD oil today also, there was a very small amount of filings on the IRD drain plug, none on the gearbox :)

VCU + Bearings we're GKN stamped :)

IRD wasn't really checked, only for excessive play on the flange. VCU didn't fail either, car had done 90,000 miles on the original, and after reading the vcu horror stories/along with feeling resistance when reversing, i decided to bite the bullet and get it replaced for the peace of mind :)

Nope, the sound doesn't change at all, regardless to speed or weight load on either side :(

Yes rear props in place, vcu was replaced with a new unit, including bearings about a month or two ago too
