    Cheers eightinavee. I don't think I'll proceed with purchasing the p38 I was talking about anyway. After closer inspection with my mechanics, seems like there's something dodgy about the chassis too, it looks like it's been redressed in some way, may be after a crash.. Still on the hunt for one...

    From what I gather, 4HP22's max torque is usually said to be either around the 300 Nm mark as Datatek stated, or around the 380 Nm mark - found posts on other forums backing the latter. Either way, official specs are not easy to find it seems. Confusing... Dave from Ashcroft Transmissions...

    By the way, anyone knows if there's a specific reason why there seems to be no common rail diesel conversion for the p38? I found a thread with a bloke who attempted to install the bmw M57 lump in his p38 but I don't think it turned out too well for him
