Thanks for the continuing advice Mick!
I'm pretty sure I'm on the standard alternator at the moment, although I thought that was 65 amp? Possibly going to upgrade to 100 amp soon (https://www.island-4x4.co.uk/alternator-high-output-britpart-amr5425-yle10113-amr4248-p-3995.html) however, and /...
Thanks for the input Mick! Therein lies my inexperience!
So I'm understanding correctly, it's ok to run 16mm² 110amp cable direct from the battery to the breaker, and then continue on with the same cable to the AUX fuse box? If this is the case then the breaker that you are suggesting should...
Hi there,
I'm looking for a little bit of advice regarding installing an AUX fuse box. The 1996 300tdi 100 csw that I have recently purchased has a raptor dash with no less than 14 ports/switches!Only three of them are connected at the minute, drawing from existing ignition activated 12v...
I think a belt and braces approach is definitely the way forward. Like LITCH says, multilayer.
I have a disklok, pedal box, immobiliser, and I'm considering the GPS locator options available.
Would be great if thieving scum would just gtf as well...
I totally missed this section on signing up to this forum!!!! Apologies!
I recently fulfilled my 25 year dream of owning my own Land Rover! I recently bought a 1996 300Tdi 110 CSW.
Thankfully I love working on vehicles almost as much as I love using them!
Looking forward to the rest of my...
I would definitely be interested and I’m often near Blandford Forum.
Do you have any of the floor mounting brackets going too??? I need the whole lot!!!
Hi there!!
I'm looking for as many pictures as possible, from as many angles as possible, of the second row seating brackets and seat frames in a 110 CSW.
I have a 1994 Defender 110 CSW, which has nothing in the back at the moment and I want to cost out what buying all the brackets and frames...
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know where to get new or used 2nd row seat frames for a 1994 110 300tdi?
I'm turning a blank in the usual spots!
Thank you in advance!
I contacted Dixon, and Ian got back to me super fast. He has done this for customers in the past, but warned that it is for sure not as reliable or as strong as a winch fixed on a winch bumper. Which makes logical sense to me.
There seems to be a lot of, "this is a bad idea" on this topic, and I'm just wondering why big winch manufacturers like Warn for example, would offer winch trays, or demountable winches in the first place if they are not going to work?

This spreads the load between the chassis legs, and is marketed as for a detachable winch tray. I would just like something integrated into a bumper.
I've messaged Douglass motors about it and they are looking into it for me. They make a rear bumper that is Dixon bates tested, so they would be aware of the loads required.
