hi, sorry for the late reply,havent been on the forum for a while. my problem turned out to be the exhaust manifold distorted.the exhaust gas was leaking past the gasket causing the squealing noise, it sounded just like a slipping belt ! i had to fit a re-machined manifold and replace 3 broken...

Had this problem for about 6 months now.When the engine is picking up revs quickly i.e accelerating in 1st,2nd & 3rd gears the ancillary belt squeels.I've now changed the belt, tensioner,ace pump,alternator/vacuum pump,and power steering pump trying to fix the problem as well as using belt...

not into green laning,(i work in a quarry so maybe i drive on enough rough roads at work)but i do all my own servicing & repairs so forums like this are very usefull.
