Sorry, only just realised I had new replies, can you get just the dessicant or do you need to replace the whole unit? Thanks for replies.

P38A Eas block rebuild now won't rise

I think mine was bits of vaseline, I won't be doing that again.

P38A Eas block rebuild now won't rise

OK so fitted that o ring and up she went, still raised unevenly with the passenger side higher, levelled out after driving a little bit though. The dessicant had some broken bits in it, might replace it soon, many thanks.

P38A Eas block rebuild now won't rise

When I took the block apart there was an o ring on the top of the diaphragm solenoid where the silver part meets the black base that screws to the valve block, now there was no replacement in the kit and when it was said that the diaphragm has no top o ring I think I have misunderstood what it...

P38A Eas block rebuild now won't rise

It's the thin pipe above the exhaust filter that vents to the air, I had a feeling the air shouldn't be pouring out of there. I will have a look tomorrow. Cheers.

The piston seal is in position, could it be vaseline as the video suggested this to ease it in. It is a x8r kit. OK so air coming out of port 11 when the compressor is running which comes from the diaphragm block could suggest something wrong with the diaphragm.

Also noticed there was a lot of play in the UJ going into the front of the transfer box, don't know if that is relevant?

    P38A Juddering / squeaking

Auto, I need to get some more axle stands so I can get all the wheels off the ground to investigate further. The front prop seal on the transfer box has leaked a bit but all the fluids have been changed recently.

    P38A Juddering / squeaking

Hi all, we have developed a new problem whereby there is a bad juddering accompanied by a squeaking sound which sounds almost like a fan belt but is movement related not engine related, the noise stops under power but returns when you take your foot off. I have some thoughts, I you guys have...

    Diesel cooling system problems

So far so good, filled the rad up and then the rest of the system through the passenger side hose going to the head and all seems to be ok. When the stat opened it spat a load of coolant out of rhe over flow pipe on the top of the header tank and the coolant rose up into the funnel, switched...
