Mine did the same about a year ago, luckily it turned out to be a bad conection onto the starter motor, cleaned and tightened up the connection, been fine ever since, hopefully yours will be as pain free

I’ve just changed the injector loom, in the process I disconnected the battery and now I have no radio thought the code was in the handbook, turns out it was the wrong code, is there an easy way without using a main steeler of getting the code or making it work? it’s the C42, fitted in a D2 td5...

Cheers guys, success, I was surprised at the amount of oil at the plug, all cleaned an new injector loom fitted, lovely and smooth now

Cheers Brian, I’ll put the order through, it’s all made out just wanted some feed back before I went ahead, price came in at about £86 for a genuine Landrover replacement, so just wanted a bit of reassurance.

Does the oil have to get right down to the red plug for the problem to start, or can the problem start before it gets that far?

Thanks sierrafery, I'll get it checked again on the diagnostic, pretty sure there was no mention of air gap, and the lights are on all the time, when stationary and moving, also it could be like you said dodgy wiring, it was fine up until the heavy rain, mind that could just be coincidence.

I've had it checked, it looks like it's the frount near side abs sensor, now I've looked on line and was going to just have the sensor replaced, but seen on line that I should replace the complete hub, there is nothing wrong with the hub as it stands, ( passed its mot, first time about 3 weeks...
