    i had a funny noise comin from the rear end,turned out to be the captive nut inside the chassis section what the rear sub frame bolts to (l/r wanted £2000 to fix it)chassis somtimes crack to around this area

    Creaking rear ;-)

    Experienced a similar, if not the same, prob myself. It was a captive nut inside the chassis rail which the rear sub frame bolts to. Landrover Dealers sussed this problem out for me and quoted approx £2000.00 to correct. I did it myself and costed me nowt but a bit of time and patience...

    this is my first post firstly id like to say hi to everyone. i have recently bought a 2000 free lander, but its developed a couple of probs which are the rear tail gate window wont funtion along with the rear wash / wipe and the rear dimister . can any body help thanks in advance .
