Looking for some advice. The scuttle panel on my '98 Discovery where the bonnet hinges attach are rotten. Could I remove the hinges and secure the bonnet with those rubber bonnet catches at hinged end ie, bonnet attached to wings and bonnet pins at lift up section? Hope this makes sense..

Not sure that it's that straight forward re-plumbing the pipes. You cannot tweak the fuel pump either; it's electronic in the automatic. All in all it's an old engine that's not designed for either speed nor outright power. You could also do a lot of damage to older engine components; is it...

I need to replace the bolt that goes through the tensioner. Any ideas of size / part number / where to buy one? Any help appreciated.

I need a new belt as the new one I had decided to shred itself. I was just about to order one (98 Disco) and it said fitted non a/c versions. As far as I knew there were two sizes, early/late models 1580/1595mm. Am I missing something?

Looks nice mate. We did a 600 mile round trip to buy what was described as excellent.. Came home empty handed and peed off. Lol.

Terrible squeal coming from tensioner so decided to replace it. When the tensioner came out the bolt came out too. Anyway, put it all back together, new tensioner and belt. Pulled on the tensioner to fully seat the belt and the whole thing came off and pulled the bolt straight out too ripping...
