No need to remove gearbox, just move it back 6 inches, if you need to take out the gearbox it comes out through the cab, remove floor, tunnel and seatbox unless you've got a bolted gearbox cross member (or want to cut the welded in x-member and replace with bolted version).

I assume you fitted new engine mounts? What state are your gearbox mounts in? How much clearance does the belhousing have over the x-member?
