Hi my TD5 diesel filter at the rear is leaking and is very warm, I have tried to tighten the nut were the leak is coming from and this is tight but it's still leaking any answers. Photo supplied if helps

hi guys sorry not replied sooner been on hols update re gasket all fixed skimmed the head and replaced the bolts with new steel ones job done 400 pound towed the caravan to cornwall and back no issues all fixed . thanks for everyone's advice

guys i have found a place to do the head great ,but then he we will send it off for xray (never herd of that) but it might have a fracture as well anyone heard of this happening as its going to cost £600.00 if he says its cracked its point less and needs a new engine.

had the head gasket tested yesterday they said its blown quoted £880.00 plus vat well shocked for re skimming and repair using original land rover parts . as i live in oldham anyone know were i can get it done cheaper many thanks gaz

hi do i lift the water bottle up while the engine is running and with the cap off or on .also might be a stupid question as new to land rovers were is the water pump to check that .

i think so just had it running on the drive for half hour coming back from shops hose rock hard ,so just undid the cap on the header tank no air presure came out screwed it back let it run until the pipe went a bit hard undid the top screw on the hose and let water out it was bubbling pipe...

hi guys i have run the disco now for a week after fitting the top hose no water loss at all in the coolant chamber did a ten mile trip on motorway no overheating on the gauge and the top hose is rock hard and very hot ,i can not figure out why its rock hard any more suggestions

thanks guys for your reply all pipes are OK and the water level in expansion tank is OK not lost any water so far over a couple of days must have been a worn pipe . good tip about the bleed valve though was going to throw it all away. many thanks .
