What mileage is your Range Rover P38 on? (1994 to 2002)

4.0 SE on 204,000 and going strong...

Grrrrrrrr! I now see why people are laughing at me!

There seems to be a running theme here - another Springer and P38 owner here...

5 supa mud plugga's on wellers

Damn it, slightly smaller and they'd be perfect, and even reasonably local for a change.

    Aaargh, RRC not starting!

No, but I'll give it a try. Thanks for the advice. This is thoroughly ****ing me off now. :(

    Aaargh, RRC not starting!

Update: the relays are clicking into life so it appears to be a pump problem.

    V8 MPG.....What ya getting.

18.6 on the last tank of LPG at 72ppl. 40-mile each way commute on the dual carriageway at traffic speed: circa 55-60mph. Ideal! More on this tank, as it's included a trip on the back of an AA truck. :(

Great advice chaps, thanks. And useful too: there's no clicking from the relays.

    Aaargh, RRC not starting!

Yes, there's one on a chassis rail at the rear, although it's been too wet too roll around on the drive for long. It's definitely not running, though.

    Aaargh, RRC not starting!

Blue spark, and I've whipped one of the plugs out and it's bone dry so obviously not getting any fuel through.

Any other suggestions? I'm really at a loss. :(

    Aaargh, RRC not starting!

Yes, definitely a strong spark. I wasn't sure what part of the ignition the immobilier would, er... immobilise. I'm supposedly working today so can't tinker too long, but if I can't get it going tomorrow then I may have to resort to plan b. Now, where did I put that gallon of petrol...

    Aaargh, RRC not starting!

Just a thought, could this be an immobiliser problem?

    That's great, thanks Pete. :)

    Aaargh, RRC not starting!

Thanks for that. Well, I definitely can't hear it priming, so that's answered that question for me. The fuses are definitely ok, so I'll hunt down the relays and pump itself and see what's what. I suspect it's something daft, but we shall see...

Where abouts is the relay? I was thinking fuel pump. Am I right in thinking the pump should be in the tank? I think this has probably got a different setup as the original tank is long gone due to the gas conversion, and there's just a small 35-litre ally tank in place, which I can't imagine...

    Aaargh, RRC not starting!

Right, help please! My '94 V8 wouldn't start when I came to leave work yesterday. It's always a first time starter but now it just cranks and cranks and doesn't try to fire. It's LPG converted but I don't think that's the issue - it always fires up on petrol and then switches itself over...

How much is LPG in your area?

95 litres at 72ppl at my local today. Sounds like it's one of the cheaper ones. Yes the price of LPG is a joke, but it's better (and still cheaper) than putting diseasal in at £1.34ppl.
