    3000rpm mis-fire !!

The internal pump can display signs of malfunction at a specific rpm and then show no signs of trouble elsewhere in the rev range. This has been documented in a recent LRO. Good luck in getting to the bottom of this.

    3000rpm mis-fire !!

Still thinking on this and realised that your culprit may well be the in-tank fuel pump.

Discovery 2 specs and what are autos like?

I highly rate the TD5 ES Auto with either a remap or a PSI power chip, and better breathing by way of silencer replacement and a KN filter or equivalent. This brings the 0-60 time to about 10 seconds or less and dramatically improves the mid range torque to make towing a relaxed affair once it...

    Td5 fears

My TD5 ES has done 115k miles and has a complete history. It costs about £350 for a major service and £200 ish for a minor service. In my book, the Disco TD5 likes to be maintained and if you spot a minor issue, deal with it before it becomes a major one. I cannot describe it as unreliable as it...

    Td5 autobox fault

For the past 2 days the autobox has done something odd. When pulling up to a junction and just as you reach stationary, the car feels like it misses and you get a slight jerk from the box. It only happens when cold. The other thing just materialising and again when cold, it is like the...
