Thanks alot, fitted new sections of 8mm copper using rubber fuel pipe to join with clips. Works a treat now. Compression joints would have been a pig to do without replacing the whole lot. (job for the future).

Thanks for all your advice, checked the pipes and woe and behold all were cracked so cut back and rejoined. Also found the join on the T junction behind the water tank rear nearside was missing a pipe. Had a quick scout round and found a loose ended pipe coming off what appears to be the vacuum...
