Check the fuses I had a brake light down and did all the necessary to find it was a fuse located under the right hand panel at the side of ignition. They have a separate fuse for both sides. Its easy to check

I may have to replace the key ignition on my 1996 disco. Are there any problems with this, the manual says chisel round the shear bolts till they move ? Is this the best way.Also it is best to remove the steering wheel for access. Am I alright disconnecting the battery will it remove any memory...

Thanks yelladisco I tried to take it off and the bolts unthreaded easily but I felt that if had carried on the nuts would have dropped inside the panel its a 1996 would that be different to others? Think I ll just go for it anyway and see what happens thought it might be a common thing...

The spare wheel carrier on my disco is flaking and rusty I want to take it off to respray it or replace it. Do I have to take off the inside panel to get at the nuts or will they stay in place. Any assistance or jokes will be greatfuly received. Thanks Tony
