Thanks Paul, I have checked engine/gearbox mounts and they seem ok (what do I know?) well, nothing moves when I tried to give 'em a good hard wobble. I will get the u/j's done as a matter of course. In fact, I will do the ball joint and anything else to avoid tinkering with the gearbox as that...

Storm, you're a star. Loads cheeper than I thought and reading the previous posts, shouldn't cost much to get it split either. Loads better than gear boxes and other frightening things I was told. I will certainly give it a go. Right then, think I'll get on with some srtobing!! ;) Thanks again

Storm, thanks mate.. I get it, I think! Back o' the truck, get the ball joint out and gotta get the thing down to my local engineers to get the bugga separated and new joint put in place. Righto, that's what I'm gonna do. Simple:eek:
