It's now been a while since I did this and unbelievably it's still working without any problems despite having been up and down more times than a cheap hookers knickers. So, if you've checked all your earths and relays etc give it a go. :D

I visually checked all the cables and earth for damage in the door and rear quarter - all appeared to be ok.

lo and behold, the wife took it shopping this morning (against my better judgement) and came back with the shopping and a working tailgate !!!! I'm wondering if low battery voltage has anything to do with this.
