Yep - just tried the door but there is nothing at the back. it looks like the barrel locks into a surrounding ring with two lugs. But the ring is turning freely now. Its another thing that seems to have been missed in their used car 'inspection'.

unfortunately everything seems to be electric, so there is nothing there other than the rubber touch pad.:(
