    Meet Noel

Managed to fit the snail and left wing. Started fixing the battery tray and air filter carrier before the rain arrived.

    Meet Noel

Another summer passed and still Noel is going nowhere. Such a busy year. In July I started to overhaul the snail heater The heater matrix box was nice and quick The snail however was a pig and my time was required for other things But eventually, this afternoon, I finished reassembly!

Series 2 A Series 2A rescued in Ireland

Restoration Will be 5 figures And that's just parts 😭 We do it for the love of land rovers. Not for profit. Was looking at a basket case rescue in the summer. Shell, engine and logbook. Then common sense got in the way and I remembered Noel was still waiting to be completed 🤣

My wiring harness is on it's last legs

Re reading the blurb, braiding is an option, not as standard.

My wiring harness is on it's last legs

Definitely not braided, I'd say wrapped in tape. As for connections, they don't feel cheap and nasty, but as far as their origin of manufacturing?

My wiring harness is on it's last legs

I see where you are coming from, but I always look at it from the viewpoint of can I make it as well for the same money or less? Plus you are paying for the convenience factor. I'm also guessing they are using experienced operatives who these days are in short supply for this type of skill and...

My wiring harness is on it's last legs

Got the full all singing all dancing loom from auto sparks. Still trying to find time to fit it. Seems a quality product for a fair price. Put it this way, it would cost me triple in time and money to make it myself. My only complaint is that the wires are not labelled. Colour coding is fine, if...

    Series 3 Snail heater blower

Thank you. I'm trying to test the resistor before I reassemble the casing. I've still got to buy a new motor as the old one is kaput 😕 Well, I've tried it on a 12v supply and it doesn't move!

    Series 3 Snail heater blower

Hopefully reassembly commencing today. Just a thought, how does one test the resistor without a volt meter? J rig a bulb and see if one wire makes it shine brighter than the other? TIA👍
