Thanks Chaser, but i will plead ignorance in this case, were is the sensor?

Prehaps i need to make myself a little clearer. Both fans, that is the air con fan and the engine fan start up at any time, it can be from a cold start to just travelling for 5 mins down the road. I have had no over heating problems and the engine is checked and maintained on a weekly basis.
