Hi Try taping (gently) a 9mm bi-hex socket on top of the bolthead it should cut its own grooves then remove as normal.

I would gladly pay for 1 hrs labour to get it done, well worth every penny and less swearing into the bargin. As with all landie jobs 2nd time round will be much easier. I was in a bad mood when I did mine....... the mail order part was un-usable due to a nice deep score on the machined face...
