replacing UJs is cheap and easy and will sort out the play in the propshaft. However, you are most likely looking at transfer box refurb or replacement to eliminate the play in it. Mine has about an inch of play and every time I engage gear i get a loud 'click'; im just gonna run it till it dies...

What age is the 90? If its pre-300tdi you wont fit the rangey wheels on the front as the hubs are too big. You need to change the axle, or rebuild each end using younger age hubs.

I have disco axles available, 200Tdi. Sell you the pair including diffs for £175, or £100 without diffs. Truck has done 180k miles. Axles in good nic, never been offroaded. Im in hampshire near Marwell Zoo.

From memory: pozi screwdriver to take off gaiter on handbrake handle (step 1); size 13mm spanners to remove nut and bolt holding cable to handle (Step 2); snips to remove split pin on other end of cable (drum end); size 19mm/17mm? spanner to under nuts clamping cable in place on fixed bracket...

Nice and easy. Any LR dealer will carry cable, Paddocks stock for definate. I did my 90 cable in under an hour, and just over an hour for the 110. That included taking out seat/cubbie box.
