Has anyone got any comments on the feasibility of removing a SJ19 2.5TD from a 1988 110 CSW and replacing it with a 200Tdi from a 1993 Range Rover (both manual gearboxes). Can it be done? Any likely problems?

Be careful - I understand from my local mechanic that the handbrake light also comes on when excessive movement detected in rear brake balancing valve - if the whole circuit isn't complete you may not get the warning - I'm not 100%~ sure.

Dunno - only wanted the Alternator - engine is OK. Orkney and you own a landy? You need to live less than 10 miles from Craddocks - I'm a regular!

If you are anywhere near Stafford, Jenkinsons Scrap yard has a 200Tdi in stock - tried buying just the alternator this morning but they won't break it so its complete.:)
