Hi all, In the last month or so my defender has developed this ticking noise, it’s a 1998 defender 90 with a 300tdi engine, I’ve had the valves adjusted with a new gasket but it’s still ticking. The speed of the ticking matches the revs. I’ve been told I need a new engine but she runs great...
